My name’s Ruth and I’m from the UK. I used the nickname ‘Web Career Girl’ simply because that’s what I am – learning every day about how to possibly make money online. Perhaps my career won’t be on the web in years to come, but for now I’m learning so much everyday that I wanted to write it all down in this blog.

What I’m Working For

Before I tell you what I do, I wanted to mention my goals. I’m not online to become filthy rich. It’ll be nice to have some spare cash, but my ultimate goals are to live a life of freedom to do what I really want. At this stage, this includes:

• Having time to spend with loved ones,
• Having time to continue learnings, always,
• Being more green and doing something that I feel really matters,
• Volunteering for worthy causes,
• Being able to work on a flexible schedule,
• Being able to raise a family at home, when the time comes.

I want to make a mark, however small that will be. I feel that I may miss out on certain money-making opportunities because of my views, but that’s ok. I’m never going to sell a system that I don’t personally live by, I’m not going to promote unethical products, and I’m not going to take advantage of anyone.

There are always crooks in any business, but I’ve met some wonderful people in the short time I’ve been working on the internet – people who are willing to help you for no reward, and I’d like to follow in their footsteps.

What Do I Do?

I’ve been writing online for a while now. This includes blog posts, ezine articles, SEO content, web copy and more. It’s a perfectly good way to earn money online, but I have to admit that I’m always looking for new ways to make the most of my skills and earn a little more along the way.

In fact, it was writing that led me towards so many other things online. Right now, I’m concentrating on site flipping, creating my own sites, and starting to write a couple of eBooks. I’m also trying to learn more about copywriting.

I’ll blog about my journey as I go – from the latest copywriting tricks, to making money through affiliate sales, and even how hard it is to sit at my computer all day! I look forward to sharing things with you as I do.
